so i recently start playing and i went into my units screen to follow a strange mood child and found this: dwarven weaponsmith necromancer.
they have not done anything yet so $:-\$ $:-\$ $:-\$

Keep them away from corpses and don't put them in the military. Other than that, enjoy your immortal weaponsmith who never needs to sleep.

Though if you want to keep him liquored up, you'll need a tavern keeper, since necromancers won't drink on their own.

So the necromancer died but not before reanimating a jabberer so i summoned a TON of baby's to deal with it so now my fortress is just baby's all being killed to death due to a nigh unbeatable undead jabberer *UPDATE* the jabber is dead but now we have no adults nor children.

Necromancers are generally a nuisance to your fort, because they don't need to sleep they miss out on the good thought bonus from sleeping in a nice bed. It's okay if it's just the one dwarf but if they write a manual of life and death it can eventually spread around your fort and 'infect' everyone. Then you're that much closer to a tantrum spiral.
