Can Dwarves claim possession of flowers?
« on: January 09, 2023, 12:40:07 pm »

My latest fort had a cool name: Shadowroses

so I was just wondering, can Dwarves gift flowers to their lovers or something? Just wondering.

They can pick flax, kenaf, and cotton.  But no, not as romantic gifts.  I believe the only acceptable gift for a romantic interest is craftsdwarfship.  :D

Open a suggestion thread if you'd like, i think dwarves wearing a flower in their bonnet rather than a mile high stack of crowns (or just fill a jug of water with some) is rather sweet.

But make a search first, romantic interactions (poetry, flowers, and things) has been discussed before (and is in the Dev notes). (Generally breaks down as immature posters start squealing about dwarf sex, but before that happens, I seem to recall there's some interesting suggestions).
