Macro friendly priority numbers for built constructions
« on: December 29, 2022, 02:56:01 pm »

Since the new building system, its easy to stack constructions for a greater degree of creative freedom while building as even floors can be built over floors and walls over ramps, but the dwarves mostly still struggle to build without the player completely synchronizing their build orders. The degree for error basically makes advanced surface macro's virtually useless or extremely monotonous/skill intensive for constructing a basic house template and the like and strains the hand & patience to design them.

Example being, you can set priority 1 on the corner stones and the supporting scaffolding, then the reachable walls and floors to priority 2, and any other details like grates/windows/furniture in last with priority 3, all quick like and dwarves will follow that ordering exactly. A simple 2-floor 3x3 house could be entirely planned out and executed in less time than it takes to mine a same z level 3x3.

With the new UI i think it'd be perfect in recycling the clear 1-5 of mining designations.
