Plane Walker Suggestion

Any type of entity could learn this can ones that have can write it down similar to necromancers. This then allows them to move between the players world and maybe make a portal to open up trade routes between the world but i dont really know if this to be possible but i think it would be interesting to see how much chaos one entity could cause and have conflict between some go across saves

The primary issue is that history (and RAW) data will be different between saves.

Sounds like a neat idea in theory (as difficult as it would be to implement for the reasons outlined by Bumber above), though IMO It would ideally come with some kind of "Allow/Forbid Planeswalkers" setting in advanced worldgen. Keep in mind that the end goal of DF's development is to allow for generation and customization of just about any kind of fantasy setting imaginable, and if you're not into the sort of cosmology where visitors from other worlds can just show up on your doorstep without warning then it will inevitably just come across as annoying and immersion-breaking.

Adjacent planes of existence are planned, but all Toady has ever said about them is that they're to be hidden underground and full of goopy worm men or something. Holding onto the information to go into another save, would have to mean the saves are merged permanently, so you could probably only spend this world-crossing trick only once.

Using them or other magical means of interspacial fast travel would be nice to see for the magic arc, since thats when there's a lot going on. And the raw-snipping capabilities of the DF engine now might make the possibilities of save-mixing narrowly possible.

Wait, what? That seems...oddly specific and limited for a planned procgen feature. Are you sure that's what he said?
