We need to be able to fill 1*1 holes and place natural materials

The only way to fill 1*1 holes seems to be to connect them to an existing stairwell and fill them in from the end (extremely tedious) or filling with obsidian (extremely complicated). Would be much nicer if dwarves could construct walls one level below them, as long as that area is dry. Or even better, even allowing the area to be filled if wet (and just moving the water up one tile)

Also, natural soil is essential for farming and tree growing, and also just looks much nicer than a giant flat area of stone if a player wants to flatten out an area around their base for easier navigation. This wouldn't be a problem if we could harvest natural materials like dirt and sand and also place walls of natural materials (including dirt and sand but also preferably any of the existing raw stones)
