I really love Masterwork mod...
« on: August 14, 2022, 07:07:58 pm »

I assume at this point Masterwork is probably not going to be continued by the original creator. I've seen some unofficial versions of it, but I was curious if the Masterwork is free game for other modders to take over? I'd really love to see it be updated.

I have no idea. I left some posts asking for clarification from meph at least in the masterwork thread. I personally and waiting for a reply still. I am hoping so. Since I have some ideas for expanding it's style in new directions.

I imagine it would depend on the license for Masterwork DF. I tried looking in the download folder, but couldn't find a LICENSE.txt or similar. I'm hoping maybe someone would know what license MDF is under. You could also try DMing Meph yourself.

The trick is to only make predictions semi-seriously.  That way, I don't have a 98% failure rate. I have a 98% sarcasm rate.

It's worth noting Masterwork is a mod-pack with mods by other people as well as the Meph-glue and whatever percentage he has provided himself (I have no idea what this number is, I'm not a Masterworker :/). I'd wager those people wouldn't have anything against a direct continuation of Masterwork, but it complicated licenses and such. Well, so goes the modding sphere.
