Blood and gore!
« on: May 31, 2008, 04:22:00 pm »

So. I made an adventurer. 'Avelon' Hellfire. After laying waste to hundreds of wolves and goblins, he received the title 'the Foggy Emancipation of Gorges'. I've two Legendary skills (Throwing and Wrestling). I've single-handedly slain a giant, several minotaurs, cyclops, etc.

...and now I'm noticing I have the blood of pretty much everything I've ever hit with a sword covering me. And I don't know how to get it off. I can't lick it off like I could do with water, and sloshing through a river didn't seem to help, either. I've got blood and vomit in or on every piece of armour I have, along with my sword.

So, uhh...how do I get it off?  :D

7/7 water might do it.

Give it thirty seconds or so, you'll get hit by an arrow, and you'll get a new adventurer with no blood.

Isn't that kind of awesome?

"Uh, yeah, I got that when I battled Sickfang the wolf lord, and oh, that crap is from some goblin war I got in the middle of."

Besides, Cthulhu is right, go to a gob fortress, start massacring, and then BAM, the archers come and it's all over.

Have you tried walking in the rain? Sleeping in a brook? maybe just buy/massacre an entire village for a new set of armor?

Besides, the ladies love the encrusted in blood and gore look.  Why do you think that almost all nurses are either women or gay? I'm telling you , chicks dig it. Don't believe me? Go get in a car accident (and survive) and see how fast that hot paramedic gets her hands all over, checking you for "injuries."

Yeah, the only tough part of the plan is the surviving part.

Hope for the 'Ironblood' effect. Dried crud might stop an arrow.   :D Or be polished to a nice shine.

rain cleans dwarves in fortress mode, I don't know if it works in adventure mode though. Might want to give it a try if you really care.

It does? Damn... I need to schedule a dwarven parade in the next rainstorm. Most of my dwarves are wearing more blood and vomit than they are clothes with the sloppy, sadistic, unsanitary way I run my fortresses.

Then again I tend to view them all as disposable Except the ones I take an active hand in grooming and training. When I lose one of them, I weep for them and their family.

Then I slaughter some things to take my mind off of it.

If I keep going down this road, my dwarves will all wind up worshipping Sheogorath   :p
