The Carp has drowned
« on: April 09, 2008, 05:08:00 pm »

While walking in the rain, I was kindly informed by the announcement screen that vile carp are drowning. How does that happen?

Fish drown in air. If the carp gets out of the water it will eventually "drown."

Confused me the first time I saw it too.   :)

In real life, fish can drown if they are unable to move (say you clipped off their fins) and especially if coupled with stagnant water.

I found the dying carp the river and proceeded to assist them in their departure, harvest their parts and throw them at elves.
The carp heads proved to be no less deadly than they were just minutes before.

The first time I came across this I said: "I thought [whatever had just drowned] are fish õ_Ô" . But I guess it kinda makes sense that fish "drown" when they're not in water :P
