Author Topic: Are new sites founded during World Activation also capped by Max Sites in WG?  (Read 520 times)

If I generated a world with a very low site cap for world generation, and the world reaches that site cap during generation, would that prevent new hillocks from being founded near my fortress later? Or does World Activation ignore this? If I generated a smaller-sized world with a low site cap, and play in that world for a long time, could I expect to eventually reach the point where no new sites are ever founded again?

The lack of responses is probably an indication that nobody knows the answer to the question (I don't, for instance).

I know there are problems during world gen when site caps are reached (which is a different issue). When a site is knocked out, elves tend to quickly hog the freed site slot to build a new minuscule site in their forests, resulting on other races gradually getting starved out of sites (assuming the elves are kept safe from other races and so won't lose sites due to war).
