How to Rescue Prisoners In Adventure Mode?

I found an elf child and human child. I want them to leave they're cells and somehow make them realize they are no longer held captive.

Does anybody know how to become an elephant man in adventure mode? I literally did all advanced world settings possible to increase chances.

If you talk to them there should be some sort of option to 'rescue' them (or something like that) and they'll join your party. Then talk to them about the journey and they should mention where they're from. If you then go there and find a family member they will be rescued and leave the party.
