crowded beds
« on: December 31, 2006, 04:23:00 pm »

i decided to be lazy this time around and not build bedrooms right away.  i didn't even build any beds until a giant wounded rat jumped out and my mason was wounded and left lying at the foot of the river bridge.

there he still lies, listed as 'no job' and suffering, but they've taken the bucket away, so i assume he's getting better (albeit slowly).  however, since he isn't currently sleeping my carpenter decided to crawl into bed next to him and go to sleep (at least that's what i THINK he's doing...).

i didn't know more than one dwarf could occupy the same bed at the same time....  or perhaps i'm nàive  ;)

If they have yellow or red wounds, they won't get better unless they "rest", which requires a bed.  The water other dwarves bring just keeps them from dying of thirst.

When another dwarf uses the bed, they get kicked out (interrupting their rest).  Assign a bed exclusively to your wounded dwarf, or make enough beds to give one to every dwarf.
