DF Style Combat in 'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum'
« on: February 21, 2020, 08:02:34 pm »

If you enjoy the combat of Dwarf Fortress, the 3rd John Wick movie has a lot of that same style:
  • Using a book to kill someone
  • Using other unusual objects as weapons
  • War Dogs in action
  • Armor / Weapon interactions
  • What appears to be martial trances
It really brings to life some of the combat logs I've read in many of my forts.  I haven't yet seen the first 2 movies of the series, but I hear the 4th one is coming out mid 2021.

The first two movies also involve misc object use. I've got the 3rd recorded but haven't watched it yet.

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

It also really brings home the nervous breakdown that is inevitable once you lose a loved pet.

Also significantly, it features a legendary misc object user going berserk because of an overload of tragic emotions. Urist McWick has been outraged at the loss of a loved one recently.
