Manager is not alone in his meager office

I made a room for the manager, but het is accompanied by another dwarf
Made two rooms for the manager and in both cases , there is extra person with him ( his friend ..haha) ?

Are rooms immediately occupied after construction ?
The manager shows inactivity, while there are 2  conditionally workorders to perform ..is he busy with other tasks?

Is it his wife?
Remember you have to assign his office and bedroom separately, even if the chair and bed are in the same room.

If it's just an office then....yeah I guess it's his apprentice or something!
(Not a thing yet).

Did not checked who the person( gender) was with the manager.
But i used a table instead of a chair for defintion of the office.

Does that work? I thought a table just makes a dining room.

Check the nobles screen to see if the manager is listed as demanding an office. If so, it's not an office, but, as Shonai_Dweller said, a private dining room (assuming it has been assigned to the manager).

Chairs can be designated as offices; tables as dining rooms. You can put down two flooring tiles in the middle of a field, plunk down a designated chair & non-designated table, and your manager will only complain about being caught in the rain. I usually give them a roof, because I'm a nice guy, and put their gazebo as close close as possible to whatever workshop they'll be in, usually the kitchen because I cannot master the fine art of hauling food before it spoils.
