Ghost floor?
« on: August 01, 2021, 11:00:10 am »

I built a bridge connecting two sides of my fort, made of wood. But I had one tile that showed "Open Space" and "floor" already. Everything else was built on the bridge except for that one tile. So I decided to try to deconstruct everything around it and try building again. It didn't work.

Any suggestions what I need to do? I want that open space tile gone and just to be a floor basically. Thanks.

You probably want to b-C-f (build/construction/floor) on the open space.

Maybe your dwarves started constructing that floor tile but something (bird flying overhead, rain-induced PTSD, inaccessible materials, etc) caused them to suspend construction.
Try selecting it in "q" mode and looking at what it says.
What happens when you try building a new floor in that spot?
