Toppling statues isn't cursing me anymore.
« on: January 31, 2020, 10:32:07 pm »

I tried toppling a statue in a temple, a shrine, and a monastery, and none of them cursed me. I need an answer because I want to be a vampire.

If you can find some dice, just keep rolling them.

I think toppling the statue of a god your adventurer worships personally still curses you as well, so feel free to try that.

Toady changed it so it has to be the god you worship instead; which means in w.g curses are a lot more localised.

I assume it'd also apply to your adventurer, atheists are unaffected

You could probably build one in fort mode.

Then either wait for the legends reader utilities to be updated or try to figure it out by noodling around in legends mode.

I don't know how to play fort mode.
You can scour sites in legends mode for a temple dedicated to a god your adventurer worships. Though at that point if you want to become a vampire you'd most likely have a much easier time just tracking down a vampire, poke a few holes in the vampire, then collect & drink their blood.

Where do I find dice?

Go to the monestaries that are around, usually they will have at least one dice in their shrines.

Dwarf fortresses will have temples in the shaft going down.

Often the first is at the toplevel, near the inn and the trade depot.
Deeper you can fin others.

Fortresses can lag a bit due to being crowded but have a higher chance of having temples dedicated to dwarven gods I guess.
