Hello,

There is a Kickstarter running, less than a week left, for a Space 4X heavily inspired by Master of Orion 1.
It's already very playable, the demo can be find on itchio for Windows, Mac and Linux.
The demo is actually the full beta, and it will be updated later only for the backers. The others will still be able to play the old version.

You need to pledge about 15€ for beta access, about 13€ for full game.
It's for september 2021, but it's just a date, the sole developper thinks it will be out end of 2020 if all goes well.

It's going to be not simply a pretty MoO1, but much more. Heavily moddable, too, with most of the data being in very readable text files.

- Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch game modes — for those who prefer a pure war-game over one with diplomacy.
- An infinite, semi-random tech tree divided into six fields which can be researched concurrently.

Disclaimer :  i have nothing to do with the studio or KS etc, i'm only a guy who wants the campaign to be a success, so i can enjoy a better experience from a game i already very much like. Also if you find my english odd, it may be because i'm french, so english is not my first language, sorry for the inconvenience, but you could also learn french, or at least esperanto, it would be easier for me, you selfish world.

Yep, i'm counting on the game itself, but also on its moddability, if that's a word.

Huge bonus, the team is super active and i really like their mind behind the game.

Bonus bonus, support for Linux (and Mac) is real.

For what it's worth a long time user (though not very active) of bay12 forums claimed that DG is their game a couple of weeks ago.

Hey, Dominus Galaxia is my game. One quick correction: Starlanes are optional. You can play with or without them. And when they're enabled you can still travel outside of the starlane network (just slower).

Thanks for the shout out! KickStarter is going alright so far, but could be going better.

So the conclusion I'm getting here is that we use QSPs because dwarves can't pilot submarines.

You mention it because, is that a good or bad or mild thing ?

I really wish the KS could succeed, but it's  only 4 days left, and about 45% to go.

I mentioned it as a mildly good thing.

I'm always somewhat suspicious when it comes to kickstarters or anything of the sort, but having a dev that is at some level familiar with DF increases, in my opinion, the chance that other peple who also enjoy DF will enjoy said dev's game.
