Beginner's Guide and Help Thread
« on: September 12, 2017, 10:18:26 pm »

Welcome to the forum game section. A forum game is like a boardgame or a tabletop roleplaying game often times. Except online, over posts.

Before posting, check out the Forum Guidelines.

Anyone is welcome to play or create games. Some games have sign ups and are referred to as 'Opt-In'. Usually people just say 'IN' to sign up. Or post a character sheet if one is needed. Some games don't need any sign ups and you can just play, rules are almost always found within the first couple posts by the thread's creator.

Games needing players are tracked in the Forum Game Directory.

If you are confused about some of the lingo, check the Gaming Glossary. If it is not there ask about it here or in that thread.

If you have an idea for a game you'd like to see or make, you can get help and advice or just share your idea at the Gaming Block thread. If you want to push your hosting consider taking advantage of the Writer's Apprenticeship thread and the BBC Help Thread.

If you have any other questions please ask!
