What always happens is I dodge literally every attack, stab it SO MANY TIMES, but than eventually it manages to hit me and usually break my spine/a motor nerve somewhere else.

Well, I just killed a werejackal, and it wasn't that hard. first try, and i was mortally wounded before DF returned control to me (I was sleeping). still, it was a rather quick kill:

Are you familiare with the details of adv. mode combat, McVampire? Maybe im using a technic your not familiare with?
