So basically, fight club but magical. Sound fun? Good. Make something ridiculous or serious, magical or not, it doesn't matter to me; as long as you're willing to beat the shit out of someone and have the shit beat out of you, we're all good here.
Basically, anyone signs up. There's no real rule for what goes and what doesn't, could be the all powerful wizard from the land of Who-Knows, or just Dave from McDonald's. Obviously I'm going to put some limits on things, like a powerful wizard can't just poof his opponent out of existence or anything; you're still fighting, and it's not much of a fight if there's no threat.
Once we have enough people, everyone will get randomly placed in a tournament bracket, winner take all in each match, and a loser's bracket, with the winner of the loser's bracket put in the finals match along with the two finalists, making it a 1v1v1. Each match will be until death, surrender, or whatever other circumstances make fighting no longer feasible. The "ring" each match takes in is actually a pocket dimension (which no PC will have direct control over, for obvious reasons). This means that the landscape will be different for each match, and could even change mid-match.
Matches will be played simultaneously, with each round waiting for all matches to be over to reduce confusion. The loser's bracket will fill in a first-come, first-served style. Once someone loses in the loser's bracket, they are removed from the tournament, and can either make a new character or use their old one in the next one.
Anyone who doesn't make a character or IS NOT actively participating in a tournament can affect the environment in any match they choose to a limited degree. Feel free to place bets too, everyone gets 500 FistCoins to start, with semi-finalists, finalists, and winners earning more. They can also be gifted to people, if you're not in the fighting mood.
I've talked a lot about how the game is ran, but how do punch?
Everyone has a Mind, Body, and Spirit score. Each of these represents one of the three parts of who you are, and can be manipulated in any number of ways. If any one of them drops to 0, you're considered incapacitated, you lose your match, and are reset to your state before the match began.
Body, somewhat obviously. is just your physical body. Someone like a medieval night might have a high body score, while someone like an ancient wizard might have a very low one. The higher this score, the higher your melee damage will do, the easier you can dodge attacks, and the less likely you are to be shot to death. This one tends to take damage.
Mind is, well, your mind. A mad scientist would have a high mind score, while Grog the barbarian would have a lower one, with non-sentient things not even having one (and thus not being playable). The higher this score, the better you are at magic, the quicker you can react to certain things, and the less likely you are to scream about explosions or poop. This one doesn't take damage much,
Spirit isn't actually your soul or some intangible version of you. It's just how dedicated you are to continue fighting. While something like being covered in the feces of an angry pelican might not hurt your body, you're probably not going to want to do much more than go get it off of you. A high spirit score can help you ignore physical damage for some amount of time, but you'll eventually wear down, and unless you have a way to heal, you're not going to have a fun time once you do.

Post this with every action you make.
Past winners, empty for now.
I think that about covers it. Any questions should get a fairly quick response, depending on whether I'm asleep or not.
