Looks pretty neat, but still a little undercooked? Seem likely that the devs will improve / add features / fix bugs over the following year or so?

Certainly...they have spoken about DLCs in the future and patches to add/fix some stuff...they are a 4 man dev team and are working on critical issues right now.

It's also extremelly moddable so the playerbase will also be adding and changing things a great deal.

Overall I would say its pretty solid in it's current state.
