Worlds created and then non-existent?
« on: October 11, 2018, 01:27:19 pm »

The newest version won't let me play world after I make them - no legends mode, no fortress mode, no adventurer mode, nothing. Is this a common problem?

I assume not, as I haven't heard about it before.

Your save folder by default should contain a folder "current" and folders for each world (initially titled region1, 2, etc.). Could you post a screenshot of its contents? If it's just loose files it sounds like there's something wrong with how the game is saving out its worlds after generating them and that's why you can't access them.

There should be a "RegionXX" folder with a last modified date of the time you created the world. If that folder is not there, maybe you hit the abort key rather than the accept key.

If you liked the layout of the world, you might be able to recreate it by finding the parameter and seed info in your gamelog.txt.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.
