He promptly took back his gift, and split the potions into the other belts. More for the rest of them!

"Yeah yeah, try not to lose sleep over it. Or, like, meditation? Do you elves even sleep? I thought I'd heard something about that.
Anyway, if we're done with the goodies, let's get this show on the road. I'd appreciate not losing any more of my precious short life at this doorway."
Sigrun smiles at the elf with that last comment.

Walk up to the door and experimentally push on it. If it doesn't open, try knocking.

"Very good, that. I'm Penda. Bit of an aspiring explorer, if you'd care to humor me. Quite good with a knife. Anyhow, If I may, I'd like for us to all hold silent for a moment, perhaps check if anything can be heard from inside."

Penda then walks up to the door, presses his ear to the wood and motions for Sigrun to wait just a moment.

He supposed that was one way to look for traps.

Sigrun, ever the maverick pushes open the door into the darkened room, muttering racist elf comments.

Thankfully, Penda, ever vigilant notices a glob of moving ooze in the corner just before it notices him. He gets to act first!

Sigrun stands blinkingly in the doorway, unaware of the danger currently before her. She acts after the blob.

Vem and Scaramouche in the back hear sigrun holler a warning!

Penda looks behind himself for a moment.

"Big, blobby, dangerous looking... thing up here."

Penda quickly draws his crossbow and fires into the blob of ooze.
