Getting Out of Bugged War with Parent Civ?
« on: July 23, 2018, 01:31:46 pm »

So it looks like, for unknown reasons, I'm at war with my dwarven parent civ. I'm aware that this is a bug, but I'm curious about if there's a way that I can fix it, I.E through a DFHack commands. It really sucks being completely isolated from the outside world, because it seems like me being at war with my parent civ has caused no other caravans to show up. Any way to be at peace with my parent civ again?
This bug also appear to break off-site raids. I sent a squad out to raid elves and they did not come back. After checking legends it shows they went through with the battle, but did not return. I let several days pass and the site is only a day away so it's not an issue of impatience.

Its not a bug, you can partake in a war with your own (by ruining relations by multiple broken caravans) and OTHER dwarven civilisations (by raiding them primarily or fights over artifacts) for dwarven invaders. Whether you can actually attack their sites to try and overwhelm or stem their numbers when you've actually instigated a war i dont know, but dwarves from another civilization are free game to attack at your own risk if you wanted to mould them into your empire.

If you can save the game, make a backup of your file for playing as normal, retire and go to legends, you should be possible across the 2 week interim period to see the war that has started taking place and find out what caused it by reading the text regarding the historical war.

Check your status with other civs in the c -> c civilizations screen.
