Gaal'garot figures that the plant would get over it. If it didn't die from vampire blood and having a proper wardrobe carved out of it, then it would survive that one too.

Though he figured it would be inconvenient to have a repeat performance. He would briskly move to a different elevation level and look around. Now he was interested in finding a few of those trees he saw earlier.

You quickly move to the edge of that layer and jump to a higher one.

It should be day by now, but no sunbeams can be seen. There is a tree along the edge to your right, and this layer has an uneven terrain. There is some sort of hooves animal nearby, and a few more animal types.

Gaal'garot was planning to use some wood to start up a fire to complete the clothing project... But first he would put himself within vision range of the other local wildlife to see if they would attack him on sight. He didn't want to make more than one fire today.

If the wildlife is at least tolerant of his presence, he will strike down the tree and use it to make a campfire.

You take a look. The deer-like creature has a lot of fur, and horns. It's about your height, and several feet long.

It's looking at you, as are a few others nearby.

Gaal'garot slowly walks forwards for a short distance, then turns around and slowly walks away from them for a medium distance. He then looks back to see how much interest they appear to have.

If it does not appear that they will cause a problem, Gaal'garot goes to do the thing with the tree.

You walk forward a bit and the leader stmopd its hooves. You walk back slowly, and they continue watching you.

While they're unlikely to attack you, getting close could provoke them.

Gaal'garot decides to keep a reasonable distance. At least for now. Next, it was time to collect some wood from a tree to start up a campfire.

You try and break off a few branches, and dry some grasses. You soon have the materials to make a campfire, and a decent cleared space.

Gaal'garot proceeds to finalize the creation of his outfit after finalizing the creation of the campfire.

Roll: 4

You spend an hour trying to get the campfire to start, being mostly unable to channel fire ether. But you manage.

You dry the various cloths by the campfire. The last of the Water Ether leaves it, leaving sturdy, waterproof, and dry clothing for you to wear. It may even prove protective, to an extent.

You still smell of that creature's acids, so bathing may prove useful for removing your scent.

Gaal'garot could wash himself of the scent... But if he didn't smell like a giant carnivorous plant then he would smell like the undead. The plant smell was preferred at this particular instant.

Next, Gaal'garot would spend some time just watching the local wildlife from a safe distance. He wasn't going anywhere anytime soon so he wasn't in a rush.

Putting them on and moving to the edge, Gaal'garot observes. Looking for the highest vantage point, he finds a few.

Somewhat to his south, he spies an outcropping, birds flapping round it. To his far Northwest, another of these spots exist. And to his west stands a high plateau, it's contents to high to see more than a few colorful rocks peaking from the edge.

What can be seen from here are a few different types grazing animals, some sort of green creature with a bulb on the end of a long tail, and crabs of some sort in the lower areas. More of those birds too.

More of these strange trees can be seen near everywhere, standing alone. Some lower ones near water have colorful strands dangling from their leafy branches. They appear to be growing on rocks, along with thick moss.

The birds you saw vary, but a few have four wings.

Gaal'garot continues to watch until either night falls, something interrupts him, or he gets a high level of understanding of the wildlife in the area.

You continue to watch. The birds seem mostly interesting in fishing. You do see a wolf pack stalking their prey in one of the grassier layers at one point though. You also spot a few large insect types collecting something from the trees and flowers. These flowers are rather large.

A few hours have passed during your watching.

Ether sense is to be used as appropriate. (Expect this line to appear in most of my turns now)
