Oscilloscope Help
« on: January 10, 2018, 01:10:25 am »

Hey all,

I need to purchase an oscilloscope for EEG prototype testing.
I bought a usb based one at first and it was pretty darn terrible, so I’m going to stick with an independent unit (digital).

I’m assuming most o-scopes have no issues with 80Hz frequencies since they are generally rated in the MHz, and the voltage range I can pre amplify to whatever it needs to be.
Two channels should be fine, but it’s the accuracy and noise I’m worried about since the source voltage is so low.

Recommendations on a good o-scope?
Thanks!

It depends a bit on the specifics but some good brands are Agilent (Now Keysight) and Tektronix.

If you are looking for something cheap the "InfiniiVision 1000 X-Series" is fetching for ~$400,00, maybe less if you get a good deal online, and is pretty reliable.
