Topic: How do I delete a fortress save without deleting the world save? SOLVED (Read 853 times)

I made a fortress but relised I forgot to give my dwarves the proper embark. I want to delete the fortress but keep the world, its really good. So I delete evrything in the region 1 folder except the world.sav right? This is the only fortress I have started on this world save.

The world is dynamic, it carries on developing as you play. So to get back to zero, you'd have to regenerate the world from scratch using the same seed you used to generate it first time.

But, why bother? Did the world change so much in the couple of weeks you played your fortress that it's no good any more?

No I havnt played in it yet. I forgot to give the dwarves the right embark equipment. Also how do I find my seed? And the wiki said history will be random. Is there no way to make it exactly the same? I mean its no big deal. Its just that the preset I gave my dwarves for skills for singing and dancing and peotry just useless nonsense stuff the elves do and what not.
