The Dwarven Tourism Bureau
« on: December 26, 2017, 10:05:49 am »

Now that the visitor bug fixes have gone in, I thought it might be fun to bid a fond farewell to our unwanted guests by posting about all the Dwarfy tourist attractions we made, to thrill our many visitors.

My own:

Enjoy Dwarven beer, without all the claustrophobia of stone over your head:  Come to the charming open-air beer gardens of Goldenland!  All Visitors are Welcome in the Healing Breakfasts.  Enjoy the stunning view from the cliffs above the Goldenland grand entrance, where you can get a good shot at incoming werecreatures view the comings and goings of a lively Dwarven settlement.  Don't invite your Elven friends, because the entire place is made of rustic native hardwood from the local forests, stained in a rich patina of the blood of former guests hematite-based wood stain.  You'll never want to go home again, and you won't have to -- the Healing Breakfasts will be happy to host you until the next siege for as long as you want to stay!

Feature 1: a 5x5 dance floor made of marble block, that retracts.
Feature 2: 5z drop onto galena block floors, it can be quite stunning.
Feature 3: For those stunned at the landing, are capture by iron cages by the resident metalsmith and part time mechanic.
Feature 4: For the resilient survivors, they will enjoy the waterfall from the walnut wood log walls of the aquifer layer.  A walnut wood floodgate pours mists and fresh aquifer water in the now drowning room.
Feature 5: When eerie silence of still water overcomes the drowning gurgles, a raising bridge made of blood red bauxite blocks opens to let the liquids drain down an iron grate onto an engineering feat known as portable drain.
Feature 6: For the residence, a labyrinth underneath the magma forges showcases the 80+ engraved slabs of previous visitors.

A beautiful tavern that may or may not be located on a Titan's shrine.

For the record, it was a good plan that was only complicated by the fact that said titan got killed halfway through the visitor flood.

Time to send in the !!FUN!! stuff!
