What is happening here? Why can't I do anything?

In the civilizations screen, there's question marks instead of keys.


I tried changing my tileset but it didn't work. WHat should I do?

Are you playing Mac 32 bit? In that case upgrade to 43.03 44.03, should be fixed.
The other issue is if you have a keybindings file from an old version of df by mistake (some graphics packs may have included an old one by mistake). This won't have anything defined for the civ screen. Just copy over the latest vanilla file instead.

But I'm playing 44.02, don't really want to downgrade either.
