Hey guys, maybe you can help me out.

I had dorf traders bring me a display case, which was very cool, except that I stupidly passed it up thinking, "Oh, I'll just make one, no big deal."  When i go to make one, though, it demands a window. I built a glass furnace, thinking there would be an option there to make one. No go. Building a window with gems using b--> Y doesn't solve it, either.

Either it's a bug (hoping not) or I'm missing something. Any ideas?

You didn't look hard enough - there should be a job for "Make [green/clear/crystal] glass Window (i)", just beneath "Construct [type] glass Weapon Rack (w)".
