I had a fortress going good, bout 120 pop, 30 children, one of which was outside when a elven siege arrived, I locked the doors and stranded the child outside (had to, he was really far away, he wouldn't make it inside in time) and expected to see him obliterated, after a few minutes I checked. he was standing there in the middle of elf bodies and blood....I checked the combat reports, and he appartly picked up a random knife that had been laying there and massacred the entire siege without taking a hit....I am now currently building him the grandest room imaginable.

That doesn't sound like my dwarfs they don't even run they just think suicidal thoughts and let them self's get killed.
