My creature has three tentacles surrounding a longer tentacle with a mouth on the end. It has four eyes evenly spread around the body so that it can see in all directions. It's mouth tentacle can stretch to twice the creature's body length. This mouth and tentacles are attached to a squishy body. That body is contained in a spiral shell. This shell is both light and very hard. The shell also contains gas sacs filled with lighter than air gas. This lets the creature float. The creature moves by taking in large amounts of air and rapidly expelling it, moving the creature. It can and does eat most organic matter. It does so by vomiting its super powerful stomach acid onto the target and then slurping up the digested food. It can vomit it's acid to distances twice its body length. It is unaffected by its own acid. If it looks like something may be food, the creature vomits on it. If it melts, its food, if it doesn't its not food. All living things that are not this creature or a predator of this creature look like food to this creature. Regardless of however much dissolved it slurps the vomit and any digested organic matter back up. This makes a disgusting sound. It travels in swarms for safety in numbers. The swarms constantly search for more food. They have no set destination, they just constantly look for food. If food is spotted the spotter will make a slurping sound and move towards the food. Others naturally follow the slurper and move towards the food. When the food is eaten a slurping noise is made. This signals the other members of the swarm that food is gone. The other members of the swarm also make a slurping noise to signal it is time to move on. The swarm then resumes looking for more food. When a predator/threat is spotted the spotter emits a chattering noise and aims it's mouth at the predator/threat. Others in the swarm do the same. If the threat/predator comes within two body lengths of any individual, all individuals within two body lengths of the predator emits a loud slurping noise and vomits on the threat/predator. Other's not within two body lengths move closer so they are less than two body lengths from the predator. They then also vomit on the predator. After the predator is no longer perceived as a threat, it is treated like food. The creatures mate and reproduce every four meals. They give live birth to single individuals. These babies fly with the swarm and are capable of doing so from birth. Babies are six inches long. Adults can grow to be up to six feet long. Their color varies on an individual basis and can be any color found in the sky during dawn/dusk.
