So, after I finish my coin vault, what should I build next (I'm a little strapped for inspiration beyond a giant logo of some kind)

Try building an arena to pit goblins, megabeasts, beserk dwarves and champions against each other.

How about a fountain/waterfall/shower for your dwarves.

Or just a very deep pit for throwing goblins and cats down.

Or a trapped trade depot for elves.

Or really good defences; walls around half the map (so you have trees to harvest in safety) and traps.

Or a giant tower, for your marksdwarves, or just a giant tower.

Or a pyramid.

How about a panic room? With emergency prepared food, booze, and enough wood, stone, and metal to start a new life should the fort for some strange reason or another get flooded with lava.

One of the more fun things I find doing is building the panic room while the fort is being burned and drowned. There's like a time limit and your existing labour diminishes the longer you take.

I also like to imagine that my fort splits into the "apocalypse shelter" groups composed of the important dwarves and the "survivalist" groups composed of haulers and other rabble where one of them lives way underground in the panic room while the other attempt to survive the apocalypse and start a new life on the surface. Then there's lots of fun challenges in that, since the shelter group normally doesn't have farmable land, so they need to make regular ultra-risky runs into the flooded / burning fortress and the survivor group doesn't have any equipment so they can't cut trees, mine, or even farm initially for lack of seeds.
