I can't be sure, but if the reaction world wasn't zero rejects (people had mentioned a zero reject world, not sure if it was this one), perhaps it had chosen the stone layers for one world and then rejected the world -- after that, continents and everything else will be fair game since the RNG is in a different state.  In this way, almost any mod that touches a part of world gen prior to it running the years up can affect the shape of the world.  This would include any wilderness animals, for example.

Neither of the worlds I generated with this seed were zero rejects.
