A pretty simple question...
« on: April 20, 2008, 08:50:00 pm »

Ok.  I have been reading through here for a bit and have a question about basic mechanics:

Namely Damage:  Do individual limbs have some hidden health number?  And is it related to "size" value?  That is to say, are all creatures of the same size and same damblock equally as susceptible to damage on a limb-by-limb basis?

I'm trying to make a new race and want them to be fairly resilient.. so tell me if I got this right:

Size = Health and defense

Damblock = unarmored defense

layering = cold resist

... is there a gradual fire defense?  I don't want them to be immune.

I don't think there is a partial fire-immunity. There is fire-immune, and super fire-immune ie: dragonbreath. As far as the rest goes, i think size also has a large role in melee combat damage: the larger they are, the harder they hit.

I am just in the first stages of making lizardmen into a full-blown civ, so i don't know a whole lot, yet ;P
