A pitiful way to lose
« on: June 30, 2007, 10:09:00 am »

I only just sterted playing, and this was my first good fortress..... I was assaulted by waves of immigrants adn I FORGOT TO MAKE THE DOOR TO THE FARMS PASSABLE. 40 starving dwarves, all because of a door. I quit, and am now trying to make a better fort.

I hope you threw that unholy door in the chasm...

No, i threw it in the abandoned fortress area. I didn't make it to the chasm, because I am not that good yet.

I don't actually use doors on my farm.  I build them in a corner so that dwarves won't path through them, and then I just make 1 side open with channels to catch the flood.  It is much simpler this way.
