Not to mention the fairly large fanbase clamoring for bugfixes and Slaves to Armok: God of Blood, Chapter III: ?????. Or anything else he decieds to do.

I find Dwarf Fortress lags much less than similar games of the same scale. So long as I set traffic routes.

It is hardly relevant that there is a plan, it if the game end up not being playable.

And it is clearly in "continous development" and will of course stay so, since Toady like everyone else need an income to survive.

The game is perfectly playable.

You should play something else.

ToadyOne and ThreeToe have said a few times that if donations dry up, they'll just go back to making games part time. In so while ToadyOne and ThreeToe apperciate the donation, it doesn't matter to them. Its not why they're making DF.  And the Dev Plans havent been added to at all.
