POWER! A game of American Politics
« on: April 25, 2017, 09:07:13 pm »

Hi, your friend the computer here. The game has been reset with a new iteration so I felt it deserved a new thread as many of the past problems have been solved.

POWER is another one of Rumsod's online browser games and in this one you pretend to be a US politician and it just had a full restart.
You can become a senator and propose and vote on bills and debate on them by posting a comment on the bill. you can also filibuster bills but it is quite expensive to do so. You can also be a governor and run your state and modify the tax rates, education funding, infrastructure funding, healthcare funding.
One of the best aspects of the game is the community around it, a lot of it is the unique cultures of the the discord servers related to the game. (Avoid the republicans, there are a few sane ones but most are crazy ideologues or outright nazis.)
Here is the game's website http://oppressive.games/power/index.php

And this is the part where I shill for my party the New Deal Alliance (NDA). It is the strongest liberal/left party of the game and we need more people to stay competitive across the 50 states of the union against the Republican Party and the Libertarian Party. We also currently hold the white house!

PS if you would like to maximize your chances of winning join our discord so we can give you a state and the best positions for it

That's it. We've found the game that is both OG and GD, and rises transcendent above them.

I find myself more intrigued than I would have thought on this concept.

Think I'll go ahead and make an account.
