I want to try to do a Thermopylae style thing in my fort where goblin invaders are funneled into a narrow corridor where they will fight my legendary, adamantine-clad swordsdwarf one by one. Is it possible, or will they all run over each other and fight him all from the same tile?

It would be convenient to make a pressure-plate-controlled enemy separator, so that they each are spaced out enough to swing and kill each one in turn.

See, I was thinking more like Hiro when he's practicing swordwork outside the storage room in Snow Crash, by Neal Stephenson. But the Scooby gang are fun too.
