Resume construction on roads & bridges?
« on: April 16, 2007, 03:02:00 am »

twice now ive had dwarves suspend construction on a road or a bridge & you cant select it with the Q key to resume (or indeed cancel) construction...

is there a workaround for this?

Yes, use T.  It lets you see items within a construction, such as the materials for the bridges and roads.  It'll say that it's suspended.  Hit whatever key you need to turn it inactive and go do something else.  They'll get back to the job soon enough.

Unless there material too build the thing is out of reach or inaccessible then it will keep getting suspended.

when your fortress gets big it sucks cuz you gotta scroll thru all the materrial list page by page and hope you pick the right material not somethin that is not accessible

I don't think people understand the significance of the keys...

A road doesn't ever have a queue, so you need to work with its tasks.
