Elves in first migrant wave
« on: February 10, 2017, 12:57:38 pm »

I thought this was actually impossible? Aren't the first two migrant waves hardcoded to each give a wave of dwarves without regard for world gen? (Meaning even if your civ is dead, you still get them)

I got two elves in my first migrant wave... a clothier and woodcrafter, go figure.

Edit: Apparently the clothier can't be assigned any labors... That must mean he wants some !FUN! right?

Hardcoded to give you CITIZENS, yes ... dwarves, not necessarily - because if your civ ISN'T dead, you could have non-dwarf citizens in the rest of the civ migrate. If you have NO civ, then it's void dwarves only and that is guaranteed, as far as I'm aware, to be dwarves.

No, migrants are actually restricted to dwarves from your civ right now even if you have other races (as is usually the case). Non-dwarves only turn up as visitors.
