Dwarf March of Solidarity: How is it led by a cat?
« on: January 21, 2017, 07:00:22 pm »

Out of respect and solidarity for all the women marching today, my Madam Mayor organized a march around the great fortress of Stabcaves.  Here is her leading the march (she is the yellow down arrow, she is rather mad...):

The march began with no violence.  Before long though something strange has happened.  Very strange, I have no idea how it happened...

Look right by the entrance.  It's a cat!  Marching dwarves are following a cat.  But, perhaps it is just chance.  After all, all my cats are stationed in rodent duty and assigned to pastures.  None adopted.  Even if they were, I've never seen a cat follow a patrol route.  Maybe it is just lost...

Nope.  The cat has marched twice around the fort.  And it keeps going. Before long all the dwarves (except a very small minority in the bar ignoring the whole thing; probably discussing the media or something) are following the cat.

Strange occurrence?  Or are the dwarves really feeling some solidarity here?

It just proves that the cats are in charge of the fortress. Aren't they in charge of every fortress that doesn't lock them up and make roasts out of them?

Madam Mayor is in charge of this fortress.  Don't cross her... she is very mean stern.  This be a special cat.  I couldn't figure out how to make a cat eared hat for each of the marching dwarves, but it does seems that DF figured out without me how to do the next best scenario.

The mayor wanted to pet the kitty of course.

Yah, nobody cleaned up from the parties from the day before.  Pretty gross.  The entrance of Stabcaves looks like a frathouse the night after final's week.
