It's just a game and a man should only brag so much, but  as a small Green i have been able to dammage the DNC for about 40 million $'s worth, for a investment of individual republicans and shadow democrats of about 6 million and a gain of about 15 million in the long term for them, and trough that both the inept leadership of the republican party and the DNC have taken a hit to their prestige. This is a game of networking and strategy and even as a small nobody you can do some big stuff just using youre wits. Depends what you like for fun, personally i like gaming against impossible odds, it sharpens up the strategical senses. But i bet this audience knows the feeling.

So a little AAr

I joined the Green party, because i'm a Green, leftist, anticapitalist. And because it appeared an impossible task, and i like those odds.

I took a strategic route, the one the game could afford, small party's are yet not viable but any means to get to power provided by the feature's provided i deem fair. I fugured that it was always in the interrest of the Republicans to fund greens in the 2 party system for split vote, so i presented myself as an ideal provider of such service in the most valuable financial state.

I also declared my Green allegiance, never asked money from the democrats, always made it clear that i was Green, i only used their powergain.

The Democratic leadership saw all my movement as a grave thread. They never considered to negotiate with me. Soon enough the threats came in. Chairman Domai was going to squat me like a bug, his crony's were send to mock:

 

They won't let me stay above 20% influence, keep that in mind.
But keep also in mind "all attacks on Domai are appreciated". Powerfull people make many enemies right?

So i have made myself very powerfull enemies, i will get attacked right?

And so because 3 of our tiny greens, the democrats lost the governor and senator of California, and with that loads of extra power to do fundraising with, and much trough bad leadership of Domai in this case. Domai is not a complete moron like the GoP leader, but neither the sharpest cookie. Weve made the democrats loose about 40 milion, and the republicans won a governor, a senator, and after costs can actually make a profit of 10 million due to the extra power to fundraise with.

AND

We reckon that if we can expand our membership with about a dozen, then we think we can make the democrats loose around 300 million $ in a week using the same strategy. That puts us in a position where we can see loads of money passing trough us. Domai has no counter to this.

The real thing many in the game want is to get rid of the GoP and DNC leadership or elements of them and for good reason, and control is kinda for grabs too, to any cabal that can use a outside communications structure and channel to good effect, even with a 3 class cell structure with cell representative's if deemed nessecary. And i think bay 12 has far superior strategic gamers than whats leading both party's now. I for one "know people who know people", and can tie a few networks toghether trough representatives. I'm also recruiting for the green party afcourse, those interrested in that should might want to go in green memes, maybe someday we will have rhino for president. Besides that i'm interrested to give strategic advice that might help you a good deal along as how to use the game mechanics to practicly guaranteed succes. I'm not the best structural organiser with 100's of people, you guys know who is who, organise youre cabal and send me a representative and ill help you along for the good of the poppulation of this game.

The problem with voter suppression is that a lot of the time that accusation is brought up it is in vague nebulous ways. (except you know... that time where they sent fake voting dates or locations to voters)

It isn't like some countries where armed guards literally are there to do just that.

Don't be so quick to claim that. Read over this report. It's hardly "nebulous" and often does involve shady armed men accosting voters. At least if you're black or native american it does.

The National Ballot Security Task Force (BSTF) was a controversial group founded in 1981 by the Republican National Committee located in New Jersey, as a means of intimidating voters and discouraging voter turnout among likely Democratic voters in the gubernatorial election. The Ballot Security Task Force was alleged to have carried out 'voter-suppression' and intimidation. The task force consisted of a group of armed, off-duty police officers wearing armbands, who were hired to patrol polling sites in African-American and Hispanic neighborhoods of Newark and Trenton.

The case prompted a $10 million federal lawsuit by Democrats against the Republican National Committee and a settlement that restricts, even to this day, what kind of "ballot security" Republicans can conduct.

Yeah, so the only reason they don't overtly do it is because of a lawsuit they lost that bans them from doing it. But ever since then, the same tactic has been used, but not "officially".

In an attempt to intimidate African-Americans and deter them from showing up at the polls, the Katz campaign, or one of its associates, put together a team of men dressed in official-looking attire — dark suits, lapel pins bearing insignia of federal or local law-enforcement agencies — and sent them into areas of the city with large black populations. Imagine the menacing presence of a bunch of big white guys in black cars who look like they’re law-enforcement people telling you all these things.”...
Swirsky met dozens of voters who were intimidated by strange men in uniforms; in a survey of black voters taken after the election, 7 percent reported being accosted by voter-intimidation efforts.

The voter-intimidation campaign that Republicans mounted in Philadelphia was not an anomaly. Instead, it marked a routine occurrence in American elections, a national scandal that rarely makes the front page. The sad fact is that voter-intimidation efforts aimed at minorities have been carried out in just about every major election over the past 20 years.

Tom Lindenfeld, who ran the counter-intimida
tion campaign for Democratic candidate John Street, said this deployment included a fleet of 300 cars that featured decals closely resembling those of federal law enforcement agencies, such as the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Many prospective voters reported being challenged for identification by such workers. Lindenfeld told reporters from the American Prospect that “What occurred in Philadelphia was much more expansive and expensive than anything I’d seen before, and I’d seen a lot.”

In fact, the scope of such efforts during the past two decades is startling.  Based primarily on reports gleaned from newspapers across the nation, there have been documented instances of the following:
• Challenges and threats against individual voters at the polls by armed private guards, off-duty law enforcement officers, local creditors, fake poll monitors, and poll workers and managers.

In
Kentucky
, Jefferson County Republican chair Jack Richardson announced plans to put challengers in predominantly Democratic precincts for the November elections.
The party had executed a similar plan in 2003, drawing protests from civil rights leaders and local Democrats who claimed that African American precincts were being targeted. In 2004, the move also sparked protests from a group of Republicans, who described the challenger plan as “rogue and racist behavior” and called for Richardson to resign.  The group included many African American Republicans.  State Senate candidate Ron Burrell explained that he felt his outreach efforts to young African American voters had been harmed.

In Pine Bluff, Arkansas, five Republican poll watchers – including two staff members of Senator Tim Hutchinson’s office – allegedly focused exclusively on African Americans, asking them for identification and taking photographs during the first day of early voting.  The chair of the county Democratic Party and Election Commission said the tactics caused some frustrated black voters to not vote.

In
Pennsylvania
, GOP Rep. George Gekas reportedly put together a systematic effort to
“challenge” voters in counties favorable to his Democratic opponent, Rep. Tim Holden.
The
Lebanon Daily News wrote: “Gekas...has distributed among county officials and
volunteers an 18-page manual that includes a section about ‘challenging a voter.’ That’s right: Gekas volunteers aren’t just going to challenge absentee ballots, but are going to try to block some people who show up at the polls from casting votes.”

In Tennessee, a state Republican Party plan to challenge would-be voters at polling places drew the scrutiny of elections officials and the Justice Department just a few days before the general election.  The state’s Election Coordinator accused state Republicans of spreading ‘‘misinformation’’ about voter eligibility to GOP poll workers and urged county election officials to reject inappropri
ate challenges at the polls.  The warning was prompted by an internal GOP e-mail, obtain ed by Justice Department lawyers, which encouraged party poll watchers to “Challenge voters who concern you.”

In Florida, there were a number of troubling instances of voter intimidation in addition to the myriad of technical problems with Florida’s 2000 election.  On Election Day, the NAACP national office in Baltimore reported receiving “scores of calls from Floridians all across the state” reporting intimidation and other irregularities. Immigrant communities are often vulnerable to intimidation efforts, and Miami’s Haitian-American communities reported many instances in 2000.  Marleine Bastien, founder of Haitian Women of Miami, Inc. recalled getting many calls from people who were prevented from voting due to intimidation and complained of being insulted.
