Lethal steam?

Now that DF has all these nasty mists and rains and dusts and such with nasty effects, I figure that it must be possible to mod the raw files to make steam face-meltingly lethal again, like it was in the good ol 2D days. Is that possible, or will my veggie steamer have to wait a few more years?

Well, raw files modding adding face-melting with SYN_INHALED would seem likely to work. Perhaps model it after blistering mist - I had one recently that was localized in name, but breathing in made the target unable to breathe, walk, see, etc. and die in half a day.

Expect iirc water is hard-coded - wiki's raws on it are extracted from memory, so you'd have to inject it into memory, perhaps with dfhack. No idea how to do this.
