Finally have the time, so might as well join in on the waitlist.
Name: Ezekiel "Zeke" Hessemont
Clade: Azure
Demeanor:
-As a Knight Errant, Zeke tries to follow his homeland's code of chivalry in his interactions: be helpful, be polite, and be direct. He has a generally friendly demeanor and goes to great lengths to be truthful and reliable. He comes off as a tad haughty to most though, due to his more formal manner of speech and elaborate armor, bearing symbols and designs beyond what is either practical or tactful.
-He himself is tall and well built from years of training as a knight. His brown hair is cut short for helmet use, and he wears a set of finely crafted plate mail for battles and travel. Th exception to this is his right arm, which is bear to reveal a locus consisting of his entire right arm. When not in armor he usually wears a dark blue tunic, modest compared to his armor. Zeke also rides his trusty steed around, Dreadsteed (or Glitterhoof, he calls him by both depending on the situation.) He never strays far from his horse, which leaves him unable to enter buildings with a no-animal policy, so he's more then used to camping out.
Background: The City of Estilia is a place filled with artisans and merchants, protected by an abnormally large upper class. The noble ruling the realm, Duke Leon, is a warrior of great skill with an extremely powerful artifact: a cup that generates Pandora Cells in any liquid put into it, which when ingested can heal any wound, among other uses. His army consists of varying tiers of knights, the highest among them being the Knights of the Realm. To fully achieve K.o.t.R status, knights in training must go on Errancy quests to bring back a powerful artifact of similar power, where they are fully admitted into the Duke's inner circle.
Zeke is one such knight, a young Azure of great potential, born from a wealthy family of merchants with a locus grafted to him since birth. His family moved from a Sanctuary to Estilia while he was still young, and lived there ever since. Zeke trained under a veteran knight since adolescence, working his way up to a junior knight. After reaching adulthood, he was officially recognized as a Knight, and years later qualified for being assigned an Errancy Quest.
Not long after beginning his quest, he found a horse being offered for a average price. This steed, which he later named Dreadsteed, was actually a puppet, an old experiment on Pandora cells on animals to see it's potential. It turned out that horse don't particularly want to change shape, so the project was deemed a failure, and Dreadsteed to auctioned off as a 2nd rate horse. He's turned out to be an exceptionally loyal and bright creature, that can regenerate from most wounds and may have some hidden powers not yet realized.
With his Lance-as-hand and noble steed, Zeke rides out in search of prestige and wealth for his homeland, ans well as a powerful artifact to complete his quest.
Goals: On an Errancy Quest to acquire a particularly rare artifact to bring back to his home to be fully admitted as a Knight of the Realm, either through scavenging it from somewhere (not through theft, as it would be an eternal stain on his honor and homeland) or simply buy one with enough wealth.
Feats:
• Friend of the Pious: After saving a local abbey from bandits, he is adept at speaking with and getting support from religious leaders
• Good with Animals: Spending most of his journey with his loyal companion has taught Zeke a thing or two about animals, giving him an edge when dealing with anything that could be reasonably called an 'animal'
• A More Noble Sort: Being of high status himself, Zeke is skilled at discussion with richer people, but his haughtiness and attitude makes him worse at speaking with the poor
• Loyal Companion: Zeke and Dreadsteed work in near perfect unison, both in and out of combat. Dreadsteed will have his own attacks except during charges)
Stats:
Strength:3
Speed: 1
Reflexes:3
Constitution:3
Gear:
Dreadsteed (or Glitterhoof): An experiment on Pandora Cells in animals, Dreadsteed serves as Zeke's mighty mount. The Puppet-Horse has speed and strength is top notch, and the cells make him smarter, more loyal, and more hardy then even the best-bred horses can claim. He will never stray far from His master, and likewise Zeke will not stray far from him. Dreadsteed will help Zeke fight even when he is dismounted, and will prioritize getting near his master in combat. While already a valuable ally, the puppet may have some hidden potential, which may surface in time.
Locus: Shock Lance: Zeke's locus is his right arm, which he uses primarily to form a lance while on horseback, which he retracts after skewering the target to leave a gaping hole. Mounted on his locus is a capacitor that stores static electricity while riding, which can be released into his arm to add an electric effect to his attacks.
When in combat, his arm can also turn into a saber, not his preferred weapon but better then his fist.
