(If you have no idea what RWBY is, look up the Red Trailer and explore.)
It's Time to Say Goodbye.Instead of my usual "Story" spoiler or the like, we're starting off rockin'! Greetings, Bay Watchers and Posters! See, my latest game, Chaos Chronicles, crashed and burned in a fiery explosion of complicated stat additions and a convoluted storyline (as you do). So, we're going to do something else: A "Who Are Our Avatars" inspired RWBY roleplay, inspired by not only WAOA, but also
r/FaunusSensitivtyClub."
Well, how will this work?"
Simple. Players have a character, be they Canon or Original, Hero or Villain, and they roleplay out Player and GM (and Player-GM) created story arcs, leading to wonderful continuity. With this game, I aim to make something quite enjoyable, if not original (which it isn't.)
"
Whoa, whoa, Canon?"
Oh, yes. In addition to OCs of many varieties, players can also put forth the effort to play as characters from the beloved web series. You can be a new guy called Chase Alabaster, or be our lovable buxom blonde Yang Xiao Long, for instance. The only limit is
your imagination someone else picking your character.
"
This sounds...Chaotic."
Of course. But that's why I, the GM, am here to make sure order and (some semblance of) sanity remain and nothing too OP happens in the thread. However, in addition to dice rolling and refereeing, I will also play as well, with a character and all, and jump into other players' story arcs and such, though I will refrain from doing so until some people join in. Shipping and Character Death are allowed by default, but I might change the former if enough people ask.
And yes, there will be dice. Here are some rules for that:
Like in the show, Aura is used to block damage and heal minor wounds. Players have a finite supply of Aura, which can regenerate, but once taken out, the character is exposed.
Aura acts as an HP bar, taken from a random roll of xd20 (based on Aura stat, one dice every two Aura points), it is given to each player. During combat, dice rolls will not only determine hits and misses, but also damage. If the character's Aura protects the whole blow, only these "Aura Points" are expended, keeping players injury free. Once it's gone, though, Realistic begins applying.
Now, with all that said, let's get to the sheet template.
