In the village of Rotte(the local dialect did not possess the term "rot" and since encountering others, they have begun to stress pronouncing the "e" whenever large numbers of visitors occur) that settled a few dozen kilometres from the main continent's east coast there is a pond that has existed for as long as anyone remembers. There is a tradition amongst the villagers and any who listen that the pond grants wishes, though few believe it. In truth, the spirit of the pond is quite powerful, but possess a condition that roughly translates to an allergy to mundane matters. While well meaning and rather fond of mundanes, having more than a little to do with the founding of the village, she finds it unpleasant and difficult to act on their behalf, and when she succeeds it often produces effects that are completely irrelevant to the subject of her efforts. This effect also interferes with mundane efforts to interact, and has lead many well-respected shamans to conclude that the pond has no spirit...
