((Accidentally deleted half the update and had to resort sorry for taking so long))
((If a player dies then another character may be introduced to fill the second player gap))
((Also all players may make suggestions of what the characters do but the ones who made the characters get a bit more of a say in it))
Duld Massy
On this particularly humid day, you chose to check out the docks for work that might get you more ration tickets. On your way down from your alcove in the favela you weave through the crowd of people. Passing several members of The Vultures (a local gang, easily spotted by their bright teal shirts and plumeria pink accent clothing (things like bracelets/necklaces, shoes/flip flops, tattoos, hats, etc but different for each person) making sure you make yourself scarce and avoid eye contact, you make it to the docks without incident.
As you search for someone looking for labor (usually employees of trade companies that stand on boxes and pick people from the crowd), a hand grabs your shoulder. It's Curtis, a member of The Vultures and a man that you owe a small debt to. He pulls you onto a more cleared area of the docks. There are two other gang members with him. He speaks up,"You haven't made good on your payment Duld, you never showed up to the initiation, and you sure as hell never brought me anything in return for saving your sorry ass", he pulls out a butterfly knife with a light pink blade,"so it would look like it's time for me to collect".

Simpson Charles
Today the wind blows slower than usual, the clouds are gone, and the heat is high. Something feels wrong about this day, but you are unsure. These feelings are common to you, a feeling, a warning of something coming but never the knowledge of what.
It would seem you had fallen asleep on your porch the previous night and are still sitting in your rocking chair. You praise your children for getting you this small house to keep you safe in your age. It is positioned near the top of the favela, half way up the island hillside, where many of the elderly and more financially stable families live.
You decide, early in this morning, to head to the docks. You love watching the morning ships arrive and the crowds of people, sometimes your grandson greets you as he moves between boats for his work.
A few people greet you on your trek down, most of them you don't remember what they look like because you've never seen them up close but their voice is familiar. The members of gangs and other rabble leave you alone as elders are seen as a symbol of luck for a community even with the mark of the witch's curse branded onto your hands.
You get to the docks and find a crate to situate yourself on, the ships have already started arriving and leaving filling the water with small clashing ripples of waves. You can't figure it out but there is something wrong with this day.
As you lose yourself in thought the angry speech of a young man brings you back to the world. Turning around to see what is happening you watch as three Vulture members surround a man, forcing people to clear out around them as they speak to the man.
It seems he owes them a debt, large enough that the one speaking has pulled a knife out and seems ready to gut the man.

1-[*their outfits are the colors of two local flowers that commonly grow together. It is common to find the flowers growing off of spiraled vines interchanging colors as each vine fights for access to sunlight and open space. The two flowers together are a symbol similar to the yin-yang. The teal flowers represent life, community, sacrifice and "greater good. The plumeria pink flowers represent grief/loss, will of self, gain/greed, and selfishness/success. This is because the teal flowers/vines produce edible berries and give off a pleasant fragrance while the plumeria pink flowers/vines have small thorns, choke out other plants, but are still visually pleasing. Together they represent unity, balance, and development. This is because, left unchecked, the teal flowers will over grow and strangle themselves eventually during but with the plumeria pink flowers they are kept from over growing and are allowed to abundantly produce berries while the plumeria pink flowers get to grow and have another much larger plant to grow upon.*]
