I have a cat with a rotten upper right incizor and the gum above is darker than the rest of her gum.
Her tooth is a noticable shade of brown and shes got the calcus plaque build up at the tooths base, i only found it recently as she flinched from my touch on that side of her face, I never thought much about it until I investigate, the tooth is also loose, i hate using the expensive vet.. so I may sound abusive but should I just pull it out myself? Or is it going to be me and her starving for a few weeks?
Shes in otherwise normal cat behaviour hiding the pain

It's best never to just start yanking away at your teeth or the teeth of your animals. If you do it incorrectly, you may very well give the cat a serious infection.

if your plan includes untrained surgery, chances are it is not a great plan.

Best not to, you'll likely leave the root of the tooth there, great potential for abscess (which could cause eye problems for the cat) and infection in general.

Take the cat to the vet.
