dwarven paris

i seem to have had a ridiculously large amount of marrages and babies in my latest 2 year old fort 5 out of my original 7 are married 4 more migrants got married here and i have 4 children... all in the space of (nearly) 2 years
anyone else get this?

This is quite normal if your dwarves are extremely ecstatic.

Relationships tend to get out of control. It's marked down as needing attention and will be fixed or changed "eventually".

well they didnt have any beds and were drinking water so.... erm lol

I'm not sure I see what's wrong with that.  All game-tweakery aside, is pairing off so unusual?  The only weird thing I can see is that you claim to have an odd number of married dwarves.

And what's this about water?  I'm teetotal and engaged, thankyouverymuch.

But dwarves aren't.
I think it's mostly thanks to that that they can reproduce.

Are you sure this topic wasn't supposed to be about a dwarven fortress surrendering to an army of Ger-.. err, goblins?
