I have reepated Insanity. 10k Year Large region World Genned Again

title pretty much says it. I again ahve generated a large region for 10k years. this one took 58 hours or so compared to the last one being about 26. I used the x86 build with a LAA patched exe. I have to say world gen is slower than 34.11 but a lot more ram efficient.

3.8GB memory usage in the embark selection screen - don't even attempt to load this in the 32-bit version of the game. You'll require the 64-bit test build.

I'm downloading just the legends, all 554 MB of it. I'm bound to find SOMETHING interesting.

I was expecting the legends files to be smaller than the save. I guess long history means lots of legends.

from what i can tell the legends is what makes up the bulk of a DF save file

Seems to hang on the 64-bit build when loading coin information. Anyone else come across this?

The world is in DF's compressed format and takes a while to decompress.

I have to say, this is awesome. I may play 64 bit df... for a while, at least. Maybe I could play a 8x8 embark again without much.trouble.

compression off on large worlds is great if you are sharing...otherwise its good to have on to save space...
